Our pastoral transition and search began in April 2009 and we anticipate it being an approximate 12 month process. Below are events relating to the transition process in chronological order—beginning with the most recent.
March 28—Pastor Mike’s first Sunday March 2—Announcing our New Pastor, Mike Malmin February 28—Congregation to vote on Pastoral Candidate, Mike Malmin February 21—Combined Service with Pastoral Candidate, Mike Malmin, preaching—potluck to follow February 14—Distribution of Candidate Bio to congregation January 31—Announcement of Pastoral Recommendation to congregation by Church Board January 9—Interviewed a Pastoral Candidate December 13—Board Received four resumes to review November 8—Pastoral Search Process distributed to congregation November 1—Church Board voted to begin pastoral search August 9—Church Assessment Follow-Up Weekend with Pastor Paul Johnson August 2—Church History Day May 29-31—Church Assessment Weekend with Pastor Paul Johnson March 19—Church Board Calls Transitional Interim Pastor, Ron Tyler March 12—Letter from Larry Pusey to Church
